As the Head of this Institute, I am overcome with joy and excitement to have received an opportunity to be working with such an esteemed staff and administration. Smt. Premalatai Chavan Polytechnic, Karad was established in the year 1983. Over the course of time, this institute has developed and evolved along with the changing demands of the world. Under the guidance of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) we have achieved tremendous success over the years. The institute is continually striving to identity the needs of the market and uses this knowledge to create better engineers who can contribute towards the growth of our economy and, at the same time, become successful in their career.

As someone who has always given importance to having a good education, I feel there is a growing need to invest in creating awareness among the students about education. We have especially been working on spreading the knowledge about the significance of having a Diploma in any stream. We have been visiting nearby schools and educating students about the options they have after they finish their 10th Std exams. We are the only institute in Maharashtra to provide Diploma in Architectural Assistantship which is a thing of great pride for us. Being situated in a small city and being surrounded by rural area, my mission is to use this opportunity to provide quality education to the kids from nearby villages.

I did my B.Tech from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, which is amongst the top ranked colleges in Maharashtra. After getting my degree, I travelled to USA to complete my Master of Science (MS) degree from Binghamton University in New York. After getting adequate industrial experience I returned to my hometown and accepted this role to be able to make a change in the quality of students we provide to the world. With the support of a well experienced and qualified staff we work daily to protect and grow the legacy that our Founder, Mr. B. T. Kinikar has created in over 50 years of selfless and dedicated work.
